Why We Exist

Shepherd’s Touch Home Care was born out of love.

Our story doesn’t begin in an office or a boardroom. It begins with a mother, her mother, and a son three generations of caregiving that shaped everything we do today.

Shepherd’s Touch Home Care, is co-founded by a mother and son whose lived experiences with caregiving became the foundation of this agency.

A Daughter's Devotion

When our co-founder received the call that her mother had fallen and hit her head back home, she didn’t hesitate. She boarded a plane and stayed by her mother’s side for two months, helping her through a complicated recovery that included multiple injuries and the onset of dementia.

She gave everything she had, and she did it without a single complaint because that’s what love does.

A few weeks after returning to work in the U.S., grandma passed away.

In the middle of her grief, she expressed something profound: gratitude. She was grateful she had been there. Grateful for those final two months. Grateful she could offer her own mother the same tender care she had received as a child.

But she also knew something important: not every family gets to be there the way she was. Not every family has the time, the resources, or the ability to travel across the world. And no family should have to wonder whether their loved one is being cared for with the same love they would give themselves.

A Son's Realization

Years later, when our other co-founder’s mother needed hernia surgery, he made the same choice she had made for grandma, he took time off work to care for her. For three weeks, he was by her side. Feeding her. Helping her walk again. Being present when she couldn’t be strong alone.

What he witnessed during those weeks changed him.

He saw the deep gratitude in his mother’s eyes. He felt the weight lift from her shoulders simply because someone who loved and cared for her was there. He realized that truly showing up for the people who once showed up for us is one of the most sacred things we can do as human beings.

And that’s when it clicked: every family deserves someone who can show up.

Mother and Son, United by Purpose

Together, a mother and son combined their experiences one who cared for her mother, and one who cared for his mother through recovery at home to build something bigger than themselves. They built Shepherd’s Touch Home Care, LLC so that no family would ever have to feel alone in caring for the ones they love.

Shepherd’s Touch Home Care, LLC exists because we’ve lived this. We’ve held the hand of a mother losing her mother. We’ve sat by the bedside of a parent recovering from surgery.
